Roosevelt Drive-In

Located west of Morrisville in the Middletown Township section of Langhorne. The Roosevelt Drive-In was opened on June 25, 1953 with Alan Ladd in “Red Mountain” & Errol Flynn in “Against All Flags”. It was operated by Neil Hellman. I went to this drive-in only a couple of times. It eventually went over to screening adult movies and closed in the 1980’s. It became a flea market for years. Then it was torn down and a shopping center built.

hello everyone. siliconsam, the photo shown in google maps is not the roosevelt drive-in, it is the u.s. 1 north twin drive-in theater. the property where the roosevelt was is now a target shopping center.

266 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA 19030 was incorrect. 266 West Lincoln Highway, Langhorne, PA 19047 is correct. Thanks!

By the 80’s it was strictly a porn theater.

This drive-in opened on June 25th, 1953. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section for this drive-in.

Also uploaded an 1953 aerial photo showing that another drive-in just west of the Roosevelt under construction (must had been halted) and another drive-in construction starting up. An 1958 aerial shows the never opened drive-in fading away and the Roosevelt open.

The correct address is: 2329 E Lincoln Hwy, Langhorne, PA 19047 It is now a Target store.

There was so many drive-ins in PA and on the Lincoln Hwy that it get’s confusing.

In the 1953 aerial photo, you can see an older drive-in to the west being torn down, and the newer drive-in to the east being built. In the 1958 aerial photo, the drive-in to the east is fully operational, while the drive-in to the west is just a ghost. The drive-in to the east was obviously the Roosevelt. What was the original name of the drive-in to the west which was rebuilt or replaced by the Roosevelt?
