Located in the Dormont suburb of Pittsburgh. The Dormont Theatre was opened prior to 1914. It had closed by 1931. In 2016 the front section of the building is in use as a pizza take away restaurant.

I thought for a moment that this was the old South Hills/Cinema 4. I did a Google Maps “Streetview” search on the address and “2885 West Liberty Avenue” appears to have been a Evans TV Store. Unless the Dormont Theatre was a storefront/nickelodeon, there’s nothing to indicate a theatre was ever here.
When the bar now known as “R Bar” was in operation as “Wilkie’s Inn” there was a photograph of THAT building from the 1930s or 1940s inside on the wall showing IT as a theater with a boxoffice – no marquee.
