Originally opened in 1927, it was remodelled in 1938 by architect A.O. Bodina. In 1948 Times-Herald the Ashton is listed at 3166 Wilson Blvd, telephone - OX-1139
No listing in 1960 Yellow Pages…, the Ashton Theatre was demolished in 1974.

The Ashton was located in Clarendon around the current Metro Station. It was part of the “Neighborhood of Virginia” chain.
