Corry Drive-In

The Corry Drive-In was opened on August 15, 1952 with Jon Hall in “Brave Warrior” & Sabu in. “The Thief of Bagdad”. It was operated by Earl Beckworth and Blatt Brothers Theatres. In later years it operated on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was closed in 2011. It was demolished in April 2017.

The exterior of this theatre was on a recent episode of the TV show “Forensic Files.”

Sadly, the Corry Drive-In itself is now GONE-ZO. Demolition started in February or March and was completed April 3.

As of August 2018 from Google Street View, the projection booth/concession stand still stands.

The August 2022 Google Street View shows the projection booth/concession stand is now gone.

It appears from the sign that the property may be used as an auction site or perhaps a farm equipment business. Not sure.
