I’ve come across an early `50s photo of what appears to be a Stanford Theatre on Congress near 2nd Street, but can find no record of it anywhere. Looks to be a small marquee beneath a vertical sign. Anyone hear of it?

October 11th was the 100th anniversary of the 1st production at the Paramount Theater, then known as the Majestic Theater. A play called “When Knights Were Bold” opened on October 11th, 1915. Patsy, we get our new blade this fall in time for the centennial. It will be a new replica of the original blade.

No, it is not an atmospheric. More classical in nature. Yeah, we’d love to have the vertical PARAMOUNT sign back. The theater will be 100 in 2015 and another face lift is hopefully in the works.
And I just realized this theatre was a John Eberson! Is it considered an atmospheric?
I just sent the Paramount Theatre an email in regards to returning the vertical marquee to its exterior facade.
