The Cine Art House was situated in the Wanchai district on Hong Kong Island. It was on the ground floor of the Sun Hung Kai Centre. The cinema opened to business on 9th July 1988 with two Mandarin language films from Taiwan and mainland China, and closed its doors on 1st December, 2006. It showed selected commercial and classic movies. In the early-1990’s, a Japanese language comedy film showed for 524 days at the cinema.
On the night of 30th November, 2006, a farewell party was held at the foyer to say goodbye to the cinema. The interior of the cinema was converted into a restaurant.

As of 27th February,2008,half of the site of the former Cine Art House remains vacant, while the other half has been converted into a tailor shop.
The theatre re-opens on 1st April, 2009 in the site of the former Broadway Theatre—Kowloon Bay.
Chinese name:影藝戲院.
This is now the new Cine Art (Kowloon Bay). But you can see the first row is way too close to the screen. I’d imagine patrons will get need neck-braces before buying a ticket.
