A nice rural small town cinema. Originally opened pre-1937 as the 685 seat Picture House, with its main entrance on Lady Street. The proscenium was 24 feet wide.
Since around 1986, the original main entrance and stalls level has been in use as a bingo club. The twin screens are located in the former circle and are accessed at the rear of the building in Moat Road. The screens have 104 and 57 seats, showing blockbusters and alternative films.
In summer of 2019 the bingo club in the stalls was closed and the space in most of the stalls will become the 67-seat screen 3. The rear of the stalls under the balcony & the foyer are available ‘To Let’. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the cinema is clean comfortable.
