This theatre was opened December 22, 1971 with Gene Hackman in “The French Connection” & Dean Martin in “Something Big”. It was closed in 1995. As of 2001 it was the Living Waters Christian Fellowship.

MARTIN & CARMIKE were different chains that ran this theatre.
Towards the end this theater was really gross. I remember walking out of a movie (and I was on a date) from this theater.
It looks the same, but now is a christian fellowship
I used to take my two young daughters there all the time, during the late ‘70s and early '80s. It was a nice theater doing a brisk business back then. But the neighborhood deteriorated over time (I moved my family out of there in 1988), and the theatre eventually closed. I have good memories of enjoying family pictures with the kids.

Carmike Cinemas took over the Beechmont Twin in 1985 and sold it off by 1989.
