The Princess Theatre was opened around 1913. From 1917 it was renamed Ideal Theatre. It was refurbished in 1925 and reopened as the Charlotte Theatre. It was a small, second run theatre that had a successful run through the 1960’s but then became a porn theatre for many years.
The architecture was modest but a later marquee did have an interesting cursive font spelling out the name Charlotte. The building sat empty for a time and hung on longer than all the other downtown theatres except the Carolina Theatre, but has since been demolished.

Possibly used a “Reproduco” automatic piano/organ unit for film accompaniment.
Yes.
According to Bowers' “Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical Instruments” page 551, the Charlotte was indeed equipped with a Reproduco organ made by the Operators Piano Co.
