Zoetropolis Theater

I found this by accident while on the Lancaster, PA homepage. I had to google it and found it on a band’s webpage.

It opened in February of 2000. It shut its doors nearly four years later to look for a new space.

Apparently, it’s an independent coffee house/concert venue/foreign film theater. There are sofas and chairs around tables in the rear of the venue and the chairs are literally film reels (I’m assuming they are covered in some sort of fiberglass?). There is a screen behind where the bands play. There’s a dozen rows of regular cinema seats in the front.

The movies rotate weekly. It’s known as a “gutted rowhouse” turned hip theatre. Coffee and gourmet treats were for sale before the shows.

The theatre has now relocated to N. Water Street.
