Niles is now a district incorporated in the town of Freemont. The Niles Theatre is listed in Film Daily Yearbook’s that I have 1941-1952.

Niles had two theatres in its history. One, which was built in the 1930s (circa) burned down. The other one, an early-looking structure of wood and stucco, still stands. When I last looked at it, it was a photography studio.

A book on Mexican Movies in the United States showed that this played movies in Spanish (although I saw one picture from the early 1950’s and the marquee was showing English-language films). Operator was Petersen Theaters. This one did burn down.
