Opened in 1911 by Thomas Hyland. Located in the Joy Building upstairs from the police department. A nickelodeon that shared movies with the Grand Theatre in Indian Orchard which were run back and forth on the same nights. Ran successfully until 1927 when the Burr Theatre with 700+ seats opened around the corner. The theatre space was converted into a hall and later into apartments.

The Lyric in Ludlow is listed in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook with 400 seats. It was the only theater listed under Ludlow MA.
