Lance Theatre, Rotan, TX, May 2011

The Lance Theatre was standing but closed about 25 years ago in this sleepy West Texas town. It had a wonderful vertical sign that was red with yellow letters and white trim. A giant lance runs vertically and parallel, top to bottom through the sign. Renovation work began in January 2016 with a view to reopening as a live theatre.

The Lance Theater is getting a new roof and will be opening for drama productions soon.
