I am not really pessimistic but am discouraged by the reasoning that there is more talk about restoring the theater on CT then there is by people who can really do something about it by coming up with the fianances.
At least while this theater is still standing, there is something to blog about. What will all you guys do when the building comes down someday? i think this site has the third most comments of all the theaters.
Month after month goes by and nothing ever happens. I think it is time to realize that it appears that the only people really interested in this theater are the ones that are communicating on this website.
Made the annual visit to Monticello last week. The abandoned theater fits in very well with the equally depressing Broadway, the main street of Monticello.
Lost Memory had an incredible amount of photos that were shown on this site. Do not think anyone comes near to his collection. Certainly a big loss for all concerned.
word shoud be “finances”

I’m afraid the end is near here
With the economy in such bad shape, no one id going to spend the money to put this old theater back. That’s the reality of the situation.
Case closed!
Name s/b the Ziegfeld. bad typing on my part!

The status of this theater should be “demolished” Happened many years ago
Too bad such a once proud theater is wasting away. A shame!
Why would someone in 2010 be concerned as to why a theater may have opened late eleven years ago Any relevance here?

In my orevious posting, the word should be “with”, not “woth” Bad typing!
I think it is time to realize nothing will be happening woth this theater in the near future.
LM…come back where ever you are!
The theater should have closed long ago…completely outdated.
Tinseltoes…
Doesn’t really matter to me where the old photos came from. They made this site that much better.

I think we need one. Maybe now that Lost Memory has left, Warren will return.
First Warren quit the web-site and now apparently Lost Memory?
Who is the reigning “maven” now?
It seems very obvious that nothing is going to happen here.
