In 1928 the Town Hall lost it’s staging
The remnants of a cyclone swept through Coolgardie destroying many of the town’s buildings and damaging many others. The Church of England, the Wesleyan Church, the Fire Brigade Hall, the Tower and Royal Hall’s were all among those that were completely destroyed. One side was stripped off the Catholic Church and the Town Hall lost it’s staging. The Railway Hotel lost its balcony and the Denver City Hotel its roof. The Westral and Marvel Bar Hotel’s were both badly damaged, as was the Exhibition Building.
