“This image showing the rear wall of The Myers Theater, captured from South Parker Drive, illustrates the historical evolution of the site. Originally established as the Myers Opera House, the venue transitioned into a movie theater in 1929, coinciding with the acquisition of the building’s second floor by the Elks Club for their clubhouse activities. The sign indicating the Elks' private entrance is discernible in the photograph. In 1977, the Rock County National Bank acquired the opera house with the intention of demolishing it to make way for a drive-up banking facility and parking lot.”
