Awesome. I saw “Porky’s” here in June of 1981. IIRC, they sold Coke’s in the small bottles, which were rolled down under the seats when people were finished. I want to say that the seats were folding cafeteria chairs, but I might be mixing this one up with another theatre.

Latonia is part of Covington. I entered it the first time as Latonia, but it disappeared. I figured that might have been the reason.

“The front of the Pastime Theater in Vicco. The sign overhead promoted "The New Adventures of Tarzan” with Herman Brix who was later known as Bruce Bennett. Behind the women are posters for the movies “Seven Keys to Baldpate” (1935) with Gene Raymond and “The Professional Soldier (1936) with Gloria Stuart.”

Thanks. I bought my Dad a book called “The Balcony Is Closed”. It’s a history of neighborhood movie theaters in Northern Kentucky written by Robert D. Webster and published by the Kenton County Historical Society. I peeked at the book when it came, then went out with my GPS this past Sunday for a mini-tour. Several of the theatres I’d passed many times over the years without even suspecting what was in their past.

It was also operated in the 1970’s and 80’s as The Village Cinema.
