I was stuck at the Monroe Street/Park Avenue light today and I just so happened to recognize this building from the photographs. The address should be changed to 108 S. Monroe Street.
It appears that Largo had an earlier theater. This picture of the New Pinellas Hotel was taken in 1918 and shows a theater on the left. I can’t seem to find any information on this theater—not even a name—so I haven’t submitted a new entry.
The Carib closed in early June, 1983. Floyd briefly considered buying the old Ritz Theatre and moving operations there, but, as you could imagine, that fell through. Admission was 99 cents and the theater still played the national anthem before every show up until the end.
After some investigation, this theater was known as the Ritz Theatre while it was open. The earliest mention of the theater was in 1932. It was ordered to stop showing X-rated films in 1980 and closed sometime before May 1983.
It appears in the 1956 newspapers, which have it listed as being in Tarpon Springs. Holiday isn’t an incorporated area and it wasn’t developed until the 60s.
Google gives the Valley the address of 5 Drive-in Road, which is just in from the northwest corner of Augusta Road (SC 421) and SC 481. Poking around with Street View, it appears that there may still be a ticket booth off of SC 481.
This was south of town on West End Road (SC 72/121) just southwest of the T-intersection with Big Oak Drive. Here are the coordinates: 33.858496,-88.121338
It looks like the concession stand might still be standing.
I remember seeing a bunch of pictures of the Maas Brothers interior, including the Strand portion. They disappeared from Flickr for whatever reason, and I never thought to look for any theater-y details.
Its address would’ve been about 2518 E. Walnut Avenue, though Google is pretty far off when it comes to placement. The coordinates—34.763703,-84.928908—show its true location.
It might be listed under Clearwater, Florida. The Palm later became the Ulmerton, which I added today as well.

Yep, right on the other side of Tampa Bay. Also apparently called the New Ritz from time to time.
According to various back editions of the St. Pete Times, the Cameo was originally known as the Rex Theatre, which was operating as far back as 1911.

Correct. Main Street is also a state highway that links Belle Glade with nearby Pahokee.
