That newspaper ad is proof that this theatre was opened as a Sameric Theatre.

The majority of the Eric Theatres did not have a marquee on the building, but instead had the streetside marquee that was on a signpost. This location, as well as the Eric MacDade Mall Theatre, the ERic Stratford Theatre, as well as the AMC 309 Cinema 9 Theatre, are good examples.

When this theatre became a 4-plex, Screens #3 & 4 were built behind the original building. The original building was split int a twin, and the other 2 screens were to the left of Screens #1 & 2.

The Budco 309 Cinema was a Twin by the start of 1976. This location became a 3-plex in early to mid 1980.

What I’ve heard is the shopping center opened in the late 1960’s with Two Guys Department Store, Rickel Home Center, and Shop Rite Supermarket.

Michael R. Rambo Jr. commented about Eric Twin on Jun 16, 2013 at 4:24 am

It is the Eric Lawrenceville Theatre. It is an exact replica of the Eric Concordville Theatre, with a few difference, including the entrance is the reverse of the Concordville. The small marque under the “ERiC” sign looks like was added after the theatre was twinned.

Mikeoaklandpark, the Sameric chain also didn’t twin the Wynnewood, Mark I, and Eric’s Place Theatres.

Michael R. Rambo Jr. commented about UA Queen 4 Theatre on Jun 16, 2013 at 3:24 am

I would assume it is correct. AFAIK, The King Theatre/King Twin was the only Eric Theatre that did not have the “Eric” name on the theatre itself.

Michael R. Rambo Jr. commented about AMC Voorhees 16 on May 27, 2013 at 3:23 am

It could be either AMC (Who’s closest theatre is in Cherry Hill), or Regal (Who has one being built in Moorestown, and a 2nd in Burlington)

Michael R. Rambo Jr. commented about Ardmore Theatre on May 7, 2013 at 11:58 pm

I like how the Ardmore Theatre has it’s final marquee in this pic, with the “Ardmore” signage before it was replaced by the “ERIC” signage.
