Man that is too bad.Lets hope they catch who stole his stuff. Wishful thinking I know, but it can happen one of my trucks got stolen once I thought it was long gone but the Police found it and I got it back.Lets hope it happens for Bill.
Thanks for the post Mike I had forgotten about this one, old age is setting in I guess. Love the photo of the Loews London, in Canada of all places. By the way do you ever save any photos on your computer?
Oh come on Mike your a big guy you can handle it.LOL,Whats happened to Robin by the way?I have some more photos I just do not know how to post them, I can get someone to scan them and e-mail them back to me just do not know how to post them, any ideas? Maybe I could e-mail them to someone who can. Trying to get more info on my theatres as you know it takes some time,Check out Melrose Theatre I have some recent posts there, take it easy.
O.K. I did say most likely. Hard to find info on these old houses my grandmother or my dad might have known but both have passed on.I will look up the Roxy again I remeber hearing about it I think that it is on C.T. there were many theatres in the downtown Nashville area over the years many before my time.
Looks like Chuck says, at least the marquee glass has been repaired does anyone know if the interior has been gutted or just sitting there since 1966? Does not look to bad on the outside to have been closed that long.
Drove by there last week everthing looks the same, the windows on the front doors are blocked so that you cannot see in. The back parking lot has been finced in and the building behind the theatre is still there, I could not get close enough to read the sign on it.The only thing missing in back is the huge water tower that used to be used to cool the entire complex.Over all the complex looks good fresh paint all the windows in the storefronts have nice silver mini-blinds over them all closed so you cannot see in anywhere. The pool room is still in the basement just one little sign over the door you would not know if it was there if you did not know it, luckly it has been there for over 60 years so people know where it it,looks like who ever owns the property now likes to keep things low-profile.
Will update later.

Nice photos, what the latest word on the rehab of this theatre?
The site now is a parking lot, but I have heard that more high-rise condos are to be built there.
Pretty cool little film about drive-ins, there are others on there too I will check them out when I have more time.
INTERESTING PHOTO JACK COURSEY.
Maybe Sam.

This theatre most likely was built by Crescent Amusement Company.Who had there headquarters in Nashville.

Nice photos and vertical.
Nice photos looks like they are fixing her up.
Google maps looks like it is still a trailer park.
Sad looking marquee shot of the Tonto Drive-in.
Plain but nice looking theatre.
Nice 1968 marquee shot.
Nice photo of the Vertical under the heading “Talkies” must have been pretty old to have that on the sign.
Thanks Ken.
