Small drive-in.
The entrance for this drive-in was at Main and Wilcox. The theatre was further north towards Bridle View Rd.
My first job in high school was working here in the early 80’s. Good times. Too bad no one ever captured an actual picture of the place. Makes me sad to see that empty lot on Google street view.
The first 2 rows of ramps and part of the screen foundation are still visible.
Bill Bowman wrote about the Bagdad in the March 8, 1963 issue of the Arizona Republic. He said it was “beginning its seventh year today,” which would make its opening night March 8, 1957. A canyon carved by Bridle Creek separated the ramps from the 250-foot screen.
