Spring of 2025 looks to be the date for “the Silver”, next to the Roxy Lofts. Advertisements along Sansom Street are in a one sheet motif.

The Castro Theatre Conservatory has realized an ambitious plan to wrest the Castro from the clutches of APE. It would leave the seating and interior as plan.

Plans call for a 365 day a year schedule. 200 days of film, 52 for film festivals.

It’s in a good location. Few blocks from DeWitt Clinton Park, many condos near by, it’s near “Terminal 5” - the 59th St/Columbus Circle subway station is about a 15 minute walk.

From what I see, these folks who own “Look Cinemas” know what they are doing.

Landmark couldn’t make a go of it. Would rather it sit dormant?

Currently only offering shows in the evening, weekends are matinees.

Tuesdays is a ‘discount’ day and reduced prices for children 3-13

All screens are Dolby Digital.

(since the above description is so sparse, thought I might add more information)

actually it’s m00se1111 please and I’m disappointed how my resolution was twisted around so.

I didn’t condone the issue with the escalator.

I merely suggested that as a consumer, if I had an issue with a business - I’d go to that business and ask someone in charge what the problem was. Not come to some online forum and stew over something for what was it 4 ½ years if going back over the history of this page is any indication.

However if that’s how you’ve chosen to interpret my suggestion, then you go right ahead and have a lovely day.

If I can make an off the wall suggestion…

Go to the theatre and try to find out what the problem was?

Can’t be good for ones mental and physical health obsessing over something for 4 ½ years.

Perhaps Joshua needs to re-read that childhood classic “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”

m00se1111 commented about Regal Times Square on Mar 15, 2023 at 9:02 am

It’s the same on Fandango. So maybe showtimes are still being determined.

I checked earlier today and 17th had only later evening showings for the bigger releases, but now it’s an entire day for all movies there

Guess later tonight or tomorrow will be the most telling.
