This was opened as Tempe Park on December 18th, 1987 by Blair Theatres and taken over by United Artists in 1988. It was dropped by UA in 1991 taken over by Pollack, who runs this popular 2nd run cinema since then. 1987 grand opening ad in photo section.

THis was taken over by AMC and renamed Sportsplex on April 22nd, 1994 and closed for construction for a new megaplex (never built) on July 21st, 1994 making this the shortest lived AMC location.
