Nick, Bill Barkley would know,I will check with him.ChasSmith thanks for the advice, when i did check Augusta major papers about a year ago, i never spotted a Black theatre in the ads not even the classy LENOX THEATRE which was black was listed.
For the record this Historical Museum had not heard of the HI-Dee-Bo Drive-in in Augusta that was Black. I told them to check out CT.They seem to be more into the Civil war and Churches than Movie theatres.
I have checked with the Laney Museum of Black History in Augusta,Lady i spoke to had only heard of the Lenox Theatre, But I know the Theatre was there having ben in the theatre Business locally here and hearing projectionists talk about the Theatre.Last I drove through there a Church was in the building.It is not a safe place in Augusta to really drive in.I did not want to use COLORED,,but have noticed the term used quite a bit and NOT ONLY IN THE SOUTH.If the Editors want to change it to Unknown Black theatre it is fine with me.OR just take it off,but there was a MOVIE THEATRE there,Guys and Girls.

Albert Peters was the projectionist he ended his long career at NATIONAL HILLS THEATRE in Augusta.
