Just caught a glimpse of the Optic in a 1981 episode of “Hill Street Blues” titled “Hearts and Minds”.

Built in 1932.The building housed the studios of Las Vegas' 1st radio station KGIX in the 1930’s.
June 25, 1933 owner J.M. Heaton struggled to keep the station on the air. Heaton was Agent for the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad.
