I hope that theater should become a playhouse since there’s quite a few around Bergen County, the closest is BergenPAC, fka the John Harms Center for the Arts.

what is the theater right now? I used to go there back when it was a third run theater, they showed James and the Giant Peach and during the movie they stopeed it for a brief intermission in which me and my classmates from junior high (Mrs. Volpe-Densen’s reading class) went to get snacks or the restroom, Once that was over, we went back in, and then before the credits rolled, the movie stopped. It was a good experience that I would never forget. I even saw the infamous Rocky Horror lips poster, even though I haven’t seen much of that movie.

I’ve been to that lowe’s and while it’s not as big as the home depot store, the space around it is still open and very rural.

I’m check here right now, and it’s still “open”? Boy, this theater policy will be taking a long, long, time…it’s closed, closed, CLOSED!!!

This theater lacks the DVS/OC stuff for the disabled, leaving that to Bridgewater. Hopefully they’ll upgrade their projection to DLP soon…as their preshow is still filmed.

Not only this theater is playing Hanna Montana in DLP, but a handful of other films are being shown in the format. How many screens out of 12 does Clearview have equipped with DLP? At Succasunna it’s 2 screens.

Beowulf was shown in Digital 3-D at this theater. Also worth noting on the theater’s Fandango page is that one of the theaters is THX certified. Is this true? It’s playing “Atonement”. Still a pricey theater, since the price change back in November.

Most recently one of its screens uses Open Captioning and Descriptive Audio, and its ticketing service is Fandango. This theater shares the same 20-minute preshow with the AMC in Rockaway, aka the First Look.

Hopefully they update the status of the Tenplex to closed, and pretty soon the Newton theater will be open again. Maybe in the near future they should allow Youtube clips and maybe a myspace link to some of those commentators so that users can add fans as a friend. It’s a great thing that CT is not owned by some big wig company like Time Warner or soon a Microsoft Yahoo company that wants to put lots of ads on it.

One reason that I get those comment emails, some of which direct me to the wrong theater of which I never went to…I always unsubscribe from comments related to those places…as for the hall, I haven’t seen anything advertised about it on tv lately…the easter thing is going on soon.

This theater brought more development to this town, which first got a taste of it with the opening of a Nabisco factory, and then a Novartis office, as well as a Ramada Inn and Best Buy, making the Route 10 corrider a hot spot for shopping. A chuck e'cheeses is right across from the theater, as well as a golf store and italian pizzeria joint.

the site on which this theater is based on was once the site of another theater: The Anthony Wayne Drive-In, one of the longest-running drive-ins in NJ and one of the last to close, long before the drive-in in Paramus. There are plans to build a bigger complex with stadium seating during the expansion of the Wayne Town Center shopping complex near the theater, which could soon be demolished for parking space and compete against Willowbrook for top shopping.

there’s also some little info about that other theater in Newton that is now the municipal building. Kudos to Mr. Paige for taking great lengths to renovate the building. I hope they have digital sound in both auditoriums since both screens sound systems were mono and there was lack of bass, but the seating was very good.

The U2 movie is also being shown in digital 3d as well. Too bad Hannah Montana is not playing at this theater. When the IMAX theater was in its first years, I remember seeing a short policy film called “Mr. Big Screen” which showed a guy trying to opening up the big screen, which ends with a nice fly-by view of New York City. Before the film began, they had some usher announcing the film and what do to following a light show. To this day, has the IMAX part of the theater gained more popularity than the rest of the theater? It’s the only one with stadium seating.

By that you mean the Rialto, not the AMC Loews, in RP and the Cedar Lane cinemas in Teaneck. This theater was acquired by Clearview the same day as the Allwood as well as other theaters on 6/26/1996. Too bad Clearview didn’t do a good job of renovating the Allwood the same way they did with this theater.

looks like Bridgewater will finally get a brand new theater that will be better than the old one!!! Just in time for its 20th anniversary, it will expand to 14 screens, with seven becoming stadium seating and the other probably the original. I wonder if THX will still support the new theater, as the company still uses it in Clifton Commons and Essex Green after the GC takeover. Hopefully it will have DLP and compete against Manville.

later this year marks the 10th anniversary of Clearview’s first and only megaplex, and it lacks the technology of what’s in Succasunna and Parsippany as well as other Clearview’s that have DLP. But it’s the only one that has stadium seating and convienient parking in a rural town.
