This theatre should have in the “also known” area it’s org. name, of Cineplex Odeon Menlo Park 12.
Went to see “Skyfall” last night. I must say the place has changed since it was first built, and I was installing the original screens there. My only complaint was how I could hear the movie from theatre 6 so well. (We were in theatre 5). There were 6 other people in the theatre. Of course we did go to the 5:00 show.
Wasn’t this also a GCC theater originally?
No, cineplex odeon owned the theater before it merged with Loews, then it was a loews cineplex before amc took over.
The GCC which I worked at for almost 15 years was across the street and was demolished after this opened in late 1991.
Talk about competition back then….
December 12th, 1991 grand opening ad in the photo section. It opened on the 12th, not the 13th.
Theater should be changed to AMC Dine-In Menlo Park 12.
Opened with(on different screens) “Hook”, “Beauty and the beast”, “Star trek 6 the undiscovered country”, “The Prince of tides”, “An American tail Fievel goes west”, “JFK”, and “Grand Canyon”.
