Elgin had another indoor theatre beside the Eltex, called just the Elgin Theatre. They were open at the same time. I have ads for the Elgin but no other information.
The property is now full of solar panels.
This theater has been closed as a “movie theater” for many years. Then a church bought the building and they moved out early last year.

The theatre is temporarily closed. The owner passed away. His funeral is February 7th.

I don’t believe this drive in was ever called Coyote 7? At present time, a machine works business is on the old drive in property.

It appears that the drive in property is vacant and the church property backs up to the old drive in.
The main screen as you come into the drive in was blown down Monday, June 9th as result of heavy storms that came through the area.
The ticket booth foundation is still there as of 2025.
