On Friday, November 15 Theatre 2 (Kings) reopening with 235 seats. Theatres 4,5 and 6 still closed.
As of today, seating capacity updates with the new Plush Rockers:
Theatre 3 (STATE) 214
Theatre 7/8 120 (PARADISE)(AVALON)
Theatre 9 138 (MAJGESTIC)
Theatre 10 101 (CANAL)
Theatre 11 115 (PALACE)

Theatre 2,4,5 and 6 are curently closed
Theatre 5 (Valencia) has been de-seated as the installation of the new seats is moving fast, and could be complete before the big Thanksgiving weekend. At least half the screens are upgraded.
Theatre 8 less blocked off today, and, wow New rocker seats in a hardwood seating bowl, full rows have 13 seats instead of 15. Three fewer rows of seats. I am counting 121 total spaces seats and wheelchairs down from an occupancy sign that still says 192.
Finally it’s about time this theater are getting new reclining seats can’t wait to see what the AMC Lincoln Square 13 looks like
Getting new seats. A row of rockers in the lobby with more leg room promised, and Theatre 8 aka Avalon screen is roped off for refurbishment.

If someone happens to notice an empty seat in a higher-priced section, what is to prevent them from moving there? Will an employee of management suddenly turn up and demand that they return to the seat they paid for?
Ridiculous. Will AMC ensure a staff member in every auditorium at every screening to ensure this policy is enforced? I think not!

Is AMC going to enforce this seating policy somehow? The last reserved seat film I saw was a 70mm Imax presentation of 2001 at the AMC Metreon in SF where it seemed people were just sitting wherever they wanted (compounded by the low auditorium lighting which kept the seat numbers in shadows and very hard to see). The only employees I saw were the guy taking the tickets out front and the snack bar employees.
This is a stupid policy. I refuse to go to the local AMC in my town. This is even more reason not to go
Did you expect me to post it at every AMC site listed at Cinema Treasures? I picked Lincoln Square because it’s mentioned in the article.
I thought it was taking place at alot of AMC theatres? Why single out this one ?
Should any AMC complex be brought to attention when it comes to a big story, should be the one in Burbank, which historically outdraws this one.

will the 4K 3-D re-release of Titanic play the IMAX auditorium?
I never quite got wishing a building happy birthday. Given the girth of the building that houses the complex - where would you find a hat that fits?
How would the building blow out the candles on the cake?
have now seen four movies here on four different screens since the introduction of the Laser by AMC projection and am impressed. The theaters actually seem dark when the movie is showing, thanks to richer deeper blacks that make me realize way more than the Dolby Cinema even what we missed in the transition to digital projection. This is also a location where I saw too many movies with a bulb that had passed its “best by” date, and in theory I shouldn’t have to worry about that with the new laser system. And, happy 28th birthday!
Theatres 2 thru 12 now have has AMC with Laser projection. Also uploaded photos of the basement screens that open a few months late in early 1995. Still has Sony Signature Seating, very uncomfortable.
