Moviegoing Trends Predicted

Indiewire published an interesting story the other week where they identified some predicted trends in moviegoing over the next 4 years. Nothing is groundbreaking but amongst other things, they predict growth in Box Office revenue. This while they still foresee distribution moving to more of a digital model. Check it out!

This is good news for studios but bad news for exhibitors. Ever since the 1950s audiences have eroded the theater for TV and other means of home media but have slowly come back as younger moviegoers discover the magic of going to a theater.
