Tupper Lake’s State Theater fights to go digital

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Locals aren’t giving up on the State Theatre, a nearly 100 year-old treasure that’s in need of a digital projector to keep going. The Tupper Lake Arts Council is rallying for donations and hosting fundraisers at the theatre to raise $90,000 for the project.

Best of luck to Sally. The State Theatre is lucky to have someone as dedicated as her to keep the theatre going. She did a beautiful job with the twinning of the cinema.

Tupper Lake has SAVED ITS THEATER! We raised the whole sum needed to upgrade…Tupper Lake is amazing!
We are closing Sept. 6 and upgrading a few things…sprucing the place up, adding a new boiler (!) and the digital upgrade! We will reopen in October fully digital! Sorry to see film go dead…it was awesome…but digital allows us to do so much more with the theater!
