PASADENA, CA — Hometown Pasadena featured a great piece by Sheryl Peters of Pasadena Museum of History about the never built Mission Theater. It focuses on an entrepreneur named Mrs. Fenyes that got very close to building it but it never came to fruition. Complete with blueprints, the story gives an intimate look at the process of purchasing land and building a theater 100 years ago.

Part 1 of the series talks about D.W. Griffith films made on the Fenyes estate, and the construction of Clune’s Broadway Theatre (later the Cameo) on land owned by Mrs. Fenyes.
