FLINT, MI — The skyline of Flint, Michigan was changed on Sunday morning, December 22 when Flint’s tallest building, Genesee Towers, was imploded. Abandoned and deteriorated, its demolition was long in coming. With that building gone, the Capitol Theatre, just a block away, got more exposure. An urban plaza will take the place of Genesee Towers. In preparation for the implosion, the front facade of the Capitol Theatre was wrapped in Visqueen for its protection.

(Thanks to Gary Flinn for the photo and story.)
