Talking about movies before a showing is hardly a new idea. Crown, former owner of this and the Mall theaters used to have personal intros to the movies. When BowTie took over, they prided themselves as bringing ‘back’ the movie going experience the way it used to be.
Unfortunately, the personal intros became more like live announcements parroting the no talking and turn-off-your-cell-phone rules that you see on screen. They eventually cancelled the personal intros, rather then be more creative with it.

Classic films on the big screen are usually always a better experience, but the screen sizes at Harbour 9 are so small. I saw the ads for the weekend screenings but the offerings were the same. They need to offer a better enticement to get people out.. gourmet food items? coffee…espresso?
