Chicago’s Portage Theater has new owner

CHICAGO, IL — The future for it is still unclear but the Portage Theater has a new owner. Rumors point towards the owners of the Congress Theater being involved so they can turn it into a music venue.

There is an update within the article, about halfway down; the new owner is the current operator of the Congress. I hope for the best, but I do not think this bodes well for the long-term future of the Portage as a full time cinema.
