Study reports piracy has negligible influence on U.S. box office

Piracy may be growing but one report suggests it’s not much of an issue in the U.S.. They say Americans still prefer to see films in theaters but the greater lag time before the same film is released internationally has hurt the situation.

To stop the ongoing pirating/theft situation, wouldn’t it be possible to install the “blossoming” effect when trying to copy an original DVD? This would put a severe damper on future sales, eh?
