Antitrust lawsuit against Cinemark revived

PALM DESERT, CA — Flagship Theatres, operators of the Cinemas Palme d'Or, have revived their lawsuit against Cinemark, claiming they’ve made it overly difficult to obtain films for their theatre. A new judge is looking at whether competition has truly been prevented or not.

This is a typical ongoing case of the big and GREEDY multiplexes, suffocating the little cinema owners into bankruptcy. And yet, the little guys are in show business for the love of it… unlike the boxy and dreary chains.

And in how many markets where a Regal and a non-AMC share bookings is Killer Elite opening at the independents? (I looked at two I know of and in both markets Regal had it)
