Columbia teams up with foursquare for movie promotion

One of the more interesting promotional tie-ins I’ve seen lately. Columbia is forming an alliance with foursquare for the marketing of their upcoming film, “30 Minutes or Less”. For those not familiar with the mobile app foursquare, users “check-in” wherever they go to receive points and tell friends where they are. With this promotion, users that check-in at movie-related locations could win extra prizes.

this is great. I use foursquare a lot…..it’s much better than facebook places.
