Renewed Joy in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, LA — Closed since 2003, there is finally some good news for the Joy Theatre. According to WWL TV, the Joy Theatre has been purchased and will be renovated and reopened for music, film, comedy, and other live entertainment in early 2012.

What wonderful news.
That is great news. Every time I have walked by the place over the last few years, I felt more and more discouraged that anything would ever come of the place again.
Awesome news! This theatre must be a grand site all lit up at night! There is alot of filming being done in the area, it would be nice to see premires, screenings and celebrity appearances here- some charity going towards rebuilding efforts.
