Big Mo Drive-in adds third screen.

MONETTA, SC — Last week, under decent weather, the Big Mo Drive-in in opened its third screen. After a successful Summer in 2010, it was time for a third screen in this very rural town that pulls moviegoers from Augusta, GA and Columbia, SC. The first two features on that screen are “Soul Surfer” and “Rio”. A far cry from when it closed in the 80’s running X-rated movies.

Thanks Mike. I think it was still a single screen drive-in a few years back when I was visited the area. Glad I got the chance to see this theatre although it certainly wasn’t easy to find. As I recall we got lost at least three times! The Big Mo is a nice country-ish drive-in. Evidently it was doing well enough to have added a 2nd and now a 3rd screen. Hopefully they won’t make the mistake the Fun-Lan did in Tampa with 5 screens. Every time I drive by the Fun-Lan I cringe!

Major goof! Just realized it wasn’t this drive-in that we visited. It was Kings Mountain in Bessimer City. Nevertheless I wish Big Mo well with their 3rd screen. Sorry Mike…just one of my many senior moments!

That is okay, you look alot younger than me,If you still have that black hair!Honestly,I never thought he would ever be able to twin it.When I visted him years ago,saw “the Mummy” with B.Frazier,NOT KARLOFF. he wanted to expand the boxoffice set a booth on top and shoot off the top,but the second drive-in when Jordan and me drove by coming back from Tenn, was completely different set up.Where the Third screen is I have no idea.maybe Kyle will visit it.For some reason I get the impression Bill B.does not like the owner,he was always nice to us.But you know Bill.
