Michael Moore interested in refurbishing the Capitol Theatre

FLINT, MI — Filmmaker and Flint native Michael Moore has outlined plans to refurbished downtown movie houses in Michigan and has specifically mentioned the Capitol Theatre.

Moore has created a fund to infuse downtown theaters with grant money. He hopes to eventually expand that program nationwide.

Now living in the Traverse City area, Moore was instrumental in establishing the Traverse City Film Festival as well as the restoration of the State Theatre there.
