4K Digital! Someone needs to report on this. How does it compare to regular 2K. AND do they advertise this fact? Supposedly all the Muvicos were to be 4K equipped.

They definitely advertise their 4K capability.

Muvico may have the capability to project in 4K but until digital product is released in 4K, it won’t make a bit of difference. It’s kind of like 35mm vs 70mm. A theater may be equipped for 70, but if the print is 35, then 35 is what you’re gonna get.

the only two studios so far that are releasing 4K ‘films’ are Warner Bros. and of course select films from Sony.

Oh great! Just what the L.A. area needs – another multiplex. And in an area that has a bar on just about every corner and the highest DUI rate in the country they’re going to get them plastered in their movie theatre? How is that benefiting the public?
