WASHINGTON, NJ — Just wanted to inform everyone that the historic and renovated Washington Theatre is now open! It is a great find and value. The person in charge is Marco. The phone number to the theatre is : 908-689-0899, and the website address is: here.

Nice to see this place still around. I know that over the past 15 to 20 years its been under numerous ownerships and closed for long periods of time. Good Luck. It will be nice for someone to say ‘see you can make money with a twin’.
thanks so much for the positive response -please tell everyone you can about the theatre; some people are not aware that it has been reopened! It’s 2 for $8 specials on Wednesday nights at 7pm!

Hi I am a bit confused about the post Washington Theatre Re-Opens. I know it had been taken over in 2006 I spoke to the owner on the phone and he was very friendly.Did he sell the theatre to new owners/operators?
no Marco still owns the theatre but alot of volunteer work is needed to revive it back to where it once was – the economy has hurt all theatres in general, so get on out there and see a great flick! joni

Hi joni. I am a projectionist from here in central New Jersey. I hope you guys make it. I have been sick of late, but if I get time I would like to come visit. After working so many booths the past 33 years, I still like to see new ones. Maybe I’ll try the trek in a few weeks.
