Loew’s Jersey looking for volunteers

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Friends of the Loew’s has volunteers opportunities available for these upcoming events. If you would like to sign up for either of these events, please e-mail us at with the date and time frame that you would like to volunteer.

Loew’s Down Blues Concert Friday, January 23rd

We’ll be doing last minute set-up for the concert from 3:00pm to 5:30pm.
Volunteers who can help during that time will assist in hanging signs, setting up the concessions counter, moving tables into position in the lobby, and other last-minute details.

All other volunteers should try to arrive by 6:15pm. (Doors are expected to open at 6:30pm.) If that’s not possible and you would need to arrive later, please let us know and we can schedule according to your available time.

Volunteers will also be responsible for: overseeing the auditorium and assisting patrons as they enter and find seats; answering questions that patrons may have; helping at the box office; taking tickets at the door or working the concessions counter. The concert will be over by 11:00pm and volunteers will be asked to help clean up the auditorium as patrons leave.

Friends of the Loew’s Film Series – Roger Moore as James Bond, January 30 &
31

Volunteers will be asked to help with last-minute set up, box office, ticket taking, program distribution, concessions sales, ushering and clean-up before or after the film.

Fri. 1/30 Evening Show: Man with the Golden Gun – Last-minute set up from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. We will need volunteers to arrive by 6:45pm and work up to 10:45pm.
Sat. 1/31 Afternoon Show: For Your Eyes Only – We will need volunteers from 2:00 to 6:00pm.
Sat. 1/31 Evening Show: Octopussy – We will need volunteers from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.

Volunteers are asked to wear dark-colored pants and either white, black, red or maroon shirts. Friends of the Loew’s will provide name tags.
