Utah theater switches movies

SOUTH JORDAN, UT — The Megaplex Theatre at the District gave moviegoers more than they bargained for when it played the R-rated movie “Sex Drive” instead of the G-rated “High School Musical 3.”
The theater switched one of the showings of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” to a larger auditorium to accommodate more people, but forgot to switch the movie.
“Sex Drive” includes nudity in its opening minutes and parents could not carry their children out of the hall fast enough.
A spokesman for the cinema said the R-rated movie was only on the screen briefly. Managers gave everyone free movie passess and vouchers for the concessions.
The District Theatre was the 10th busiest in the US for HSM3 ticket sales.

this happens all the time, but the contrast in trailer content should be the 1st sign to stop the print and reset
I"m not saying this as a long time IATSE union projectionist, but this is what happens when you have idiots making minimum wage and selling popcorn run the booth. This just shows you whats wrong in the entire industry today…too many chiefs, and no indians.
my 1st week in the booth way back in 99 i started eyes wide shut instead of a pg film on the 3rd platter, then again who schedules an r and a pg in the same house….oh yeah managers who dont care or are not trained by corprate
I get constant critisizm from the people I work with now. “Why do you need a schedule for each projector, its only 6 screens.” My answer…“do I ever start the wrong movie???…NO…End of discussion.”
The closing credits for HSM3 list a high school in Salt Lake City, Utah as the site for the filming of this typical drawn out Disney ho-hum musical.
