I didn’t give you that information. How do you know that there have been no updates on sound, etc.
Hello, i was emailed info on this theater from someone else that was looking from your posts here, thank you

Theatreman Vicksburg Ms has been without a cinema for over year and is starting 2008 still with no cinema. The vacated mall Cinema Pemberton 4 owned by CBL Associates hasn’t been filled but I can tell you the consesus of the locals is they want one outside of the mall.
We have a single screen theatre in n. ohio for sale it is in great shape. We would be happy to talk to you futher. Great small town. Still in operation after 40 years.Email
Or visit our web site www.norwalktheatre.com
I own the Southtown in Springfield, Illinois. Although it has not been used as a theater since the late 50’s, the marquee and facade have just been restored to its original 1936 Art Deco appearance. The building has been used as a stained glass studio since 1981 and a furniture store before I purchased it. Nothing on the interior resembles a theater. I will be retiring soon and selling the building. For info email me
The best part is the marquee is maintained by the city with them also paying the electric for the lights. This is the only old marquee left standing in the city.
thank you for the info,,,how far is the nearest theater,,, what size town,,,,, and do you have any pictures, thanks
LOOKING IN SOUTH CAROLINA,GA
That would be ok, thank you
I will soon be listing a gorgeous, restored theatre for sale in California. Please email me if you are interested.
Reality has start to set in now.
In an article in the local paper it has been revealed that high end cinemas and retailers have been turning down Vicksburg flat as a location. One their arguements is the fact there is a lack of population. The city leaders have had a rough time attracting commuters to live here. I believe its due to overvalue real estate and closing businesses. But it has put the mayor in an embarrassiing predictment. Especially with the subprime mortgage mess and the overvalue real estate.
At the sametime CBL Associates is going announce thier plans for the mall. What they have planned the locals don’t know. But a lot of businesses have closed down due to high rent.
I have a small town theater that I am considering selling…The Mode Theater in Waterloo, WI, which is 20 miles east of Madison and 70 miles west of Milwaukee. The floor is leveled, living quarters above the main room now( ceiling/floor was installed during remodeling). The theater was built in 1937, remodeled into a performance performing arts and display space in the 1980’s. I have digital projection and use the space for a variety of events…public and private.
We own a totally renovated 1937 Art Deco Gem just 50 miles from Minneapolis Stl Paul. Currently 3 screens up and running with bot 35 and digital projection, DTS and much much more. Contact me at and I can supply info and pictures.
Thanks,
Red
The Pemberton 4 Cinema is a four screen multiplex built around the late ‘80s,early 90s. It’s still in real good condition but the cinema is going to need a clean up and renovation all together. One talk has been making it into a discount cinema but with mall’s crime issues that’s going to have reexamined it.
So far questions are lingering as to why there isn’t a new cinema here yet.

Updating my March 20th posting, please read my public appeal for the Ridgewood Theatre, where I am seeking an art-related tenant. This was composed voluntarily, as a director on the board of Queens Preservation Council:
