As a part of a research project I am working on I am working on a Box Office Ledger belonging to the Interstate Theater Chain, dating from the 1950’s. Partway through the ledger the weekly attendance figure changes from an overall figure to one that is broken down into different categories, A, C and P. So, for example, the entry for W/E July 3, 1954 reads
1669A
698C
27P
2385T
Can anyone give any help regarding the meanings of these categories A, C, and P?
Many thanks,

Just a thought but maybe A=Adults C=Children and P= Passes
sounds like thats a great thought
I worked for Interstate back in the 50’s and as I recall it’s Adults, children and passes. Also this breakdown helped with the concession counter figures for the week. Certain items sold better with a high children’s count.
It is indeed: Adult, Child, Pass
Yep,as many B.O.R.’s I did, that would most likely be right.I wished I would have saved a few of my old ones.
What about S for students, Loews used to have Student Tickets with a 50 cent discount with the Loews Student Discount Card ,anybody remember them?
We never had Senior or Student tickets and thank goodness that would be another headache at checking out.
