Yes in any area. A downtown location would be prefered or at least a none residential area because its hard to obtain a liquor licence.

You might look into Hollywood’s IVAR THEATRE Ivar @ Hollywood Blvd. It’s owned by the California Youth Theatre and, I am told, receives backing from the Getty Foundation.
It is hardly ever open -basically used for rehearsals?, in fair but shabby looking shape, has a small balcony but a pleasing stage with plenty of room for dressing rooms.
Where are YOU located? Can I be of local help?

If you know the name of the theatre in seattle you might as well give me the name so I could look it up. Do you know if its a movie theatre or live performance? Do you know the address by any chance?

Thanks for your comment BillG, I looked it up on the internet. Its a little bit small for what I had in mind and I’m looking more for a theatre with a nice stage.

Yes, the seller would just like to get his improvement dollars back, he is asking 1.8 million. There is a fully active coffee shop that runs in the daytime like a (starbucks) at night it is functional for movies or plays. Please call me to discuss your options. (858)362-4380

Riviera,

I am a very reputable, well connected, and respected concert promoter, talent buyer, and creative director, with nearly a 15 year career having produced most pre-eminent artists alive or have sinced passed in over 2 dozen historical theaters in the Northeast. I spent nearly 5 years establishing (building from the ashes) what is now one of the top grossing nightclubs in a post 911 Clear Channel NYC economy. Have never joined the SFX, CCe, Live Nation brigade despite being offered. All that said, I too have been on a hunt to locate a venue to aquire, and restore as a PAC (plus). I have a financial model, but very shrewd investors, however I am extremely well versed in main street renewal programs as related historic buildings, non for profits and public private partnerships. I believe we may, have potential synergy, although I am geographically rigid to Eastern Long Island, Southern CT, Rockland, Westchester with some flexibility into surrounding counties. I am aware of a few venues from 600 cap to 2000, and ones that are 3500-4500 cap, That would be the crown jewels of the East Coast if 40,000,000-50,000,000 in funding existed to restore them. So thats my story, I’d love to hear more about you and your mission. Email me at if you have any interest in beginning a dialogue.

You may want to look into the Forum Theatre, 314 Main St, Metuchen, N.J. 08840. Worked there in the early 80’s, was a beautiful 600 seater.

To RivieraServices: I am a preservationist who is seeking parties of interest that may “save the day” for an endangered early 20th century NY theater by the prolific Thomas Lamb. The theater may be available for lease or purchase. If you are interested, please contact me at your earliest convenience for more information. Timing is crucial! Thanks!
