To those of you who have a theater who meet the following specifications, please contact me at (remove the famous director’s name):
A theater that has run or has the capability of running dual-strip Tri-dimension films. This means having two sychronized projectors capable of loading 6000', a silver screen (doesn’t have to be stationary), capable projectionist, etc.
The information is needed for an upcoming article about 3-D movies and a free plug will be given to those who participate.

It’s not my theatre, but the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, Massachusetts recently had a 3-D festival. Most of the films used the process requiring polarized glasses (for instance, Dial M for Murder), so presumably this theatre meets your criteria.
I know that the ORIENTAL’s original big screen cinema here in Milwaukee still maintains that equipment. See their page here on CT. I’m sure that a large number of other older theatres also have that provision, though seldom used. Contact Landmark’s district man, John Dahlman, for specifics, since the ORIENTAL is now a triplex of theirs. He is at
I own and operate the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Downtown, Lamar and Village in Austin, TX. We run dual strip 3-D with some regularity, and have run several of the prints that were struck for the big 3-D expo in LA at the Egyptian Theater. If you need to contact me further, I can be reached at
The Lafayette Theatre in Suffern, New York currently has the capability to run dual-strip 3-D films and even had a three-day festival in early 2004. We recently ran House of Wax and a program of super rare 3-D short subjects in November of 2005. There will be more 3-D in 2006.
