More Cinema Treasures upgrades

We will be taking the site offline during the Thanksgiving holiday, so that we can take another stab at improving the performance of Cinema Treasures.
Specifically, the website will be offline from Wednesday through Sunday of this week, as we continue to overhaul Cinema Treasures. While we realize this may be an inconvenience to some of our users, it is perhaps the best time for us to make such an upgrade, as everyone is likely to be on holiday.
As before, we expect to make good progress on improving the scalabilty of this website, although there’s no guarantee this round of upgrades will completely solve our current challenges.

Two other points:
• You may wish to postpone adding new theaters until site performance is fully restored. When the site is sluggish, it’s difficult for us to add new theaters.
• As you may have noticed, we’ve been able to improve the frequency of updates to the Newest Theaters, Recent Comments, and Updated Theaters blocks on each page. These are now generated every five minutes. (We were originally planning to update them only once per hour, but we’ve been able to improve on this.)
Congrats. I still can’t see any new theaters as it takes me to the general page Lost Memory talked about. I receive new user comments in email of course. I checked one and it was fine, right to the theater but the other one took me nowhere. Good Luck.
“Go get em boys” take all the time you need, a little break is a small price to pay to improve this very important, entertaining and informative site. We can all happily catch up after the holiday.
Yipes, a long weekend without cinematreasures.org? I might have to go out and take in a movie!
